JDA launches online portal to track enforcement related complaints

Jaipur: After rolling out multiple digital platforms for civic services, the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has launched its first online Enforcement Monitoring System (EMS) to improve transparency and ensure time-bound action on complaints related to illegal constructions and encroachments. The portal, launched last week, enables residents to file enforcement-related complaints online and track their progress.Speaking to TOI, JDA DIG Amit Sharma said residents can use the portal to report encroachments on roads and violations of building norms. He added that even complaints received offline will be uploaded by the concerned officials on the JDA portal to ensure visibility and transparency during grievance redressal.“Residents can lodge complaints if they notice encroachments on city roads or any violations in building construction. We believe this platform will encourage greater public participation and help bring more violations to our notice,” he said.According to officials, the EMS allows real-time monitoring of enforcement proceedings, from inspection and issuance of notices to approvals and final action. By digitising the workflow, JDA aims to reduce delays, improve follow-up, and minimise procedural lapses that often hinder enforcement measures.A key feature of the system is categorisation and deadline-based disposal. “In this system the complaints will get classified into Red, Orange and Green categories based on the nature and severity of violations. The system also has strict timelines for disposal of complaints according to the category. Red Category cases must reach the stage of approval for action within 25 days, Orange Category cases within 28 days and Green Category cases within 16 days,” an official added.JDA officials said the platform is expected to improve monitoring, increase citizen participation, and ensure faster and more accountable enforcement action against encroachments and illegal constructions.
