Kalaburagi: Kalaburagi city police commissioner Sharanappa SD passed an order suspending two employees
Jyoti, a woman head constable, and Shivsharanappa (ASI) of Station Bazar police station after an enquiry related to a Pocso case.
The action follows allegations that the two officers asked for, and received bribe money from the complainant. The suspension was issued in view of the continuing investigation, based on claims that the two staff members demanded unlawful payment and accepted it from the person who lodged the complaint.
Jyoti, a woman head constable, and Shivsharanappa (ASI), who were working as investigative assistants, called the complainant to the police station regarding the victim’s statement in the case registered at Station Bazar police station.
