Koppal: Helpline launched for drinking water issues

Koppal: To address the drinking water issues faced by the public in the district during the current summer, helplines have been launched, announced Varnith Negi, the chief executive officer, Koppal zilla panchayat.Due to the potential for drinking water problems arising from the summer in the district, helplines have been set up in all taluk panchayats and the district panchayat to receive complaints regarding possible drinking water issues in rural residential areas across the seven taluks of Koppal district.Koppal ZP helpline: 08539-221207 and 7829658536, Koppal taluk panchayat helpline: 9620410509 and 9902315311, Kushtagi taluk panchayat helpline: 7899986581, Gangavati taluk panchayat helpline: 6361940327 and 9036892963, Karatagi taluk panchayat helpline: 9845213245 and 6362150339, Kanakagiri taluk panchayat helpline: 8073051234 and 90362205541, Yelburga taluk panchayat helpline: 9620414476 and 7259562842, and Kukanur taluk panchayat helpline: 8296920386. Residents of the respective taluks can submit their grievances through these helplines.It is estimated that drinking water issues may arise in 133 villages in the district over the next three months. |
