Dharwad DC meets farmers’ leaders

The DC assured them that issues that can be resolved at the district level would be addressed by convening meetings with departmental officials concerned, and taking appropriate action. Matters requiring intervention at the state level would be forwarded with necessary proposals. She emphasised that obtaining a FRUITS ID has now become mandatory for farmers, as it is linked to the distribution of fertilizers, seeds, crop compensation, and other government benefits.
