Class 10 student dies after fall from Bidar school; family alleges staff harassment

Bidar: A 15-year-old class 10 student died after falling from the fourth floor of a private school in Bidar city’s LIC Colony Wednesday morning. His family has alleged that the death was linked to harassment by school staff. Sameer, a resident of Shantinagar, had gone to school as usual when the incident occurred. Relatives alleged he was harassed daily by school staff and had informed them about being troubled. They said the staff were asked not to harass him, but alleged the harassment continued. Family members further alleged that the body was taken to BRIMS Hospital for post-mortem without informing them or seeking their permission, and blamed the school administration. New Town police have registered a case and are investigating.
