13 LPG cylinders seized from illegal storage unit in Badshahpur
Gurgaon: A joint team of the Food and Supply Department and CM Flying seized 13 filled domestic LPG cylinders from a warehouse operating out of a tin shed near Shani Mandir, close to Kushalasad Mandir in Sector 66, Badshahpur.During the raid, officials found Indane domestic cylinders stored under suspicious circumstances. Preliminary inquiry indicated illegal stockpiling and potential misuse.“The preliminary investigation also revealed that the cylinders were being illegally stockpiled, raising concerns about their misuse,” said the official.The individual present at the spot failed to produce valid documents related to the storage, use and legal ownership of the cylinders, prompting officials to initiate action.Officials said strict surveillance is being maintained to curb such illegal storage, adding that similar action will continue in the future. A complaint has been filed with the police and further investigation is under way.The department has carried out multiple raids in the past month to check black marketing and unauthorised storage of LPG cylinders.The administration has also set up a control room at 0124-2868930 for reporting black marketing and other LPG-related issues. “Every complaint received at the control room is being resolved on a priority basis,” said the official.
