Two maintenance workers arrested for theft at AI Summit
New Delhi: Police arrested two maintenance workers for allegedly stealing high-tech wearables during the AI Impact Summit, police said on Wednesday.The duo identified as Ashish and Manish in their 40s had been hired for maintenance at the event and reportedly took the devices out of "curiosity" and because they "thought they were cool," police said.

The theft came to light on Monday after Dhananjay Yadav, founder of Bengaluru-based AI startup, reported on social media platform X that his company's patented AI wearables went missing during the summit. Yadav described how, despite handing over the devices to security for safekeeping, the wearables disappeared. "We trusted the security, hoping our devices would be safe… only to find them gone," he wrote on X. Just wanted to update everyone, our devices have been recovered.The founder the next day posted about recovering the wearables on X, "Just wanted to update everyone, our devices have been recovered. Huge thanks to Delhi Police for the super fast response and support. Truly grateful for all the messages, help, and encouragement we've received over the last two days, it means a lot to me."
