Delhi recorded 61.46 per cent voter turnout on Saturday, down from 67.47 per cent in 2015 assembly elections. Exit polls predicted an easy win for AAP, which sought to retain power on development plank, against the BJP that ran an aggressive campaign centred around the issues of anti-CAA protests and nationalism. The estimated turnout for northeast Delhi till 2pm was 34.82 per cent, according to the EC's Voter Turnout App. Area-wise, east Delhi reported 31.31 per cent polling, northwest Delhi 28.78 per cent, west 26.77 per cent, south 26.71 per cent, southwest 23.25 per cent and central Delhi 25.36 per cent turnout, the app said.

When I came out of the polling booth, AAP candidate's son was arguing with the police to allow him inside the booth. AAP worker Harmish abused me. I know him for the past many years. Later, Delhi Police took him to the police station.

Polling for Delhi assembly polls is slowly picking up as 15.57 per cent voter turnout was recorded till 12 noon, according to Election Commission's Voter Turnout app. Earlier, a turnout of 6.28 per cent was recorded till 11 am as polling for the 70 seats of Delhi Assembly began at 8 am in the national capital.
