Human skeleton found in forest in Bageshwar

By: Yogesh Nagarkoti BAGESHWAR: A human skeleton was found in a forested area of Kharkkanatoli under Kapkot police station limits in Bageshwar district, police said on Friday, adding that it was discovered by locals while collecting firewood in the area on Thursday evening.Preliminary identification, based on clothing recovered at the site, indicates the remains may be of Sher Singh, 70, a resident of Baisani, who has been missing for nearly a year, sub-inspector Sanjay Dhauni said.“A missing person complaint was filed by his cousin soon after his disappearance, but no leads had emerged,” he added.Station house officer Pratap Nagarkoti said the remains have been sent for post-mortem. “The exact cause of death will be ascertained after the report is received,” he said.
