Chennai: City temperatures crossed 40°C continued to reel under intense summer heat on Wednesday, with Nungambakkam recording 40.7°C and Meenambakkam airport touching 42°C, according to the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC).Meenambakkam recorded a departure of 2.9°C above normal, while Nungambakkam was 2.5°C above normal for this time of the year.
