Bhiwani women police station in-charge held for graft

Rohtak: The Hisar unit of the state vigilance and anti-corruption bureau (ACB) has arrested the Bhiwani women police station in-charge for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 7,000 to settle a two-year-old family dispute case.According to officials, the vigilance team conducted a raid at the police station Tuesday night after receiving a complaint regarding the alleged demand for bribes. During the operation, the station house officer (SHO), inspector Kamlesh, was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting the money.Officials said a case was registered against the accused officer under the Prevention of Corruption Act, and further investigation was in progress.MSID:: 131351680 413 |
