Ahmedabad: A 73-year-old man from Bopal on Tuesday filed a police complaint against a woman, alleging that she first rammed her car into his e-scooter, and when he objected to her rash driving, she beat him.According to the complaint filed with Bopal police, the incident occurred around 7pm on Tuesday, when the complainant was on his way to his daughter’s house. He was taking a turn when a speeding four-wheeler allegedly struck the left side of his e-vehicle. The impact threw him onto the road, causing minor injuries to his waist and head.He stated in the FIR that after the collision, a woman stepped out of the car. When he objected to her driving, she allegedly began abusing him. The complainant further alleged that when he asked her not to use foul language, she became aggressive, manhandled him, and scratched his neck with her nails.According to the complaint, the woman drove off after a crowd gathered at the spot. The complainant’s daughter too reached the spot and dialled 112 to alert the emergency response service. Police personnel later shifted the complainant to Bopal police station.An FIR has been filed under sections pertaining to rash and negligent driving, voluntarily causing hurt and criminal intimidation under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against the unidentified woman driver.
