AGRA: The body of a 10-year-old boy who had been missing since Thursday evening was found in an agri field near Jwalagarh village under Gandhi Park police station in Aligarh district on Friday morning, police said.
A forensic team was called to examine the spot and collect evidence, while multiple teams have been formed to investigate the case from all possible angles. Police are also questioning local residents.
Victim Bansi Kashyap was a Class 2 student at a local primary school. His uncle Bhuri Singh said the family searched for him throughout the night but could not find him.
SP (City) Aditya Bansal said, “Senior officers, including the SSP, also reached the spot and inspected the scene...The family had not reported that the child was missing.”
DSP Dhananjay Singh said, “A case will be registered once we receive a complaint from the family, who are currently occupied with the last rites.”
Police said CCTV footage and other leads are being examined.
