Train carrying 250 crashes in France, driver killed over 20 injured
At least one person has been killed and 27 others injured after a high-speed train carrying around 250 passengers crashed into a truck at a level crossing in northern France.The collision took place in Noeux-les-Mines, about 50 miles east of Calais, when a TGV service travelling on the Dunkirk–Paris route struck the trailer of an army truck. Emergency services rushed to the scene following the incident.Police said the 56-year-old train driver died in the crash, while the driver of the army vehicle was seriously injured. Several passengers were also hurt, though the extent of their injuries has not been fully disclosed.
