US Woman Alleges Sexual Assault At Karnataka Homestay, Owner Also Arrested

A foreign national from the United States has alleged sexual assault at a homestay in Karnataka’s Kodagu district. According to police, the woman was allegedly given a drink laced with intoxicants before the assault. Two individuals have been arrested, and the homestay owner is also being probed for allegedly restricting the victim’s communication. The case came to light after the victim contacted US authorities, following which the US Embassy alerted Indian police. Investigations, including forensic and digital evidence collection, are currently underway.
