Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya: Inside their fairytale love story and pregnancy journey

Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya, till this date, are one of the most beloved TV couples of all time. From being co-workers to becoming partners and having their first baby. The two have come a long way. Here is a look at their love story from the very beginning.

The two actors met for the first time on the sets of the beloved show 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.' While Tripathi was the lead of the show, Dahiya joined later as an inspector and a close friend of her family. The two became friends and he also became a big supporter of her after she and Sharad Malhotra separated after almost a decade.

Fellow co-star and friend Pankaj Bhatia introduced the two of them. While talking to the Deccan Chronicle in an old interview, Vivek talked about it and stated, "We met through our co-star who knew us both very well. He thought we both would be very compatible and were meant for each other. So it was based on his suggestion that Divyanka and I took the initiative to get to know each other better." Divyanka also commented in the same interview that she never thought they would get together.

It was in 2015 that Vivek finally popped the question! The two travelled to meet Divyanka’s parents for the first time together, which is where he ended up getting down on one knee to ask her to marry him. In January 2016, the two had a private engagement ceremony. In an interview with the Bombay Times, Divyanka shared that it felt like the right time for them to take the next step, which is why they chose to get engaged in a private ceremony surrounded by family and friends.

A few months later, in July, the couple ended up getting married in a grand ceremony, of which they shared glimpses of online on their social media accounts. The two were surrounded by their loved ones as they said their vows and got married in a grand Indian wedding. A few days later they also held a reception event for everyone.

In 2026, the couple officially celebrated their 10th marriage anniversary, and a few months back, announced the great news that they are expecting their first baby! With the birth only a few months away now, the two have been openly sharing glimpses of their journey as soon-to-be parents. From posting their baby’s first kicks to the names they are thinking about, the lovebirds have kept fans quite updated.
