'MAFS Australia': Rachel Gilmore shares reason for split with Steven Danyluk; says, ‘ He was busy with work’
Rachel Gilmore, the ‘Married At First Sight: Australia’ star, had the viewers gripped with the slow-burning romance with Steven Danyluk – until the vows went up in flames. The reality show couple shared a deep, emotional understanding, even discussing family plans. However, the ‘happily-ever-after’ was short-lived as Steven ended the relationship after their vows ceremony, just before the reunion of the reality show took place.

Rachel Gilmore reveals why the celebrity couple broke up

During the ceremony, Gilmore voiced her concerns about the long-distance arrangement, believing that he would not leave his life and work in Sydney for her in Melbourne. “I am falling for you. Rachel, I choose you, and I'm diving in headfirst, fearless,” Steven said in his vows. However, the relationship ended a couple of weeks later. “I was willing to put in the effort, but ultimately it happened exactly the way I was concerned it was going to happen,” Gilmore said in an interview with New Day, before adding, “Steven went back to life in Sydney. He was busy with work, and I became a burden.”Expressing sorrow, the 35-year-old shared that Danyluk had his doubts about their future together. “He’d say, ‘I don’t even know if we’re going to work in the future.’
That was probably the most hurtful thing to say to me,” she voiced, adding that there was always another priority more important than them.

The official breakup of Rachel Gilmore and Steven Danyluk

The official breakup occurred when Steven visited her in Melbourne and said his final words. She revealed that he said, ‘I don’t think I can give you what you need. I think you need a man who can actually give you what you want.’ Furthermore, Gilmore expressed that she was informed about the times Steven Danyluk casually lied about his whereabouts during the reality show while she was on her girls' trip in Thailand. “If you’re lying to me about your whereabouts, what else are you lying to me about?”, she said, pondering in hindsight.
