Don’t be fooled by its name as Della Casa serves some of the best Swiss staples in Bern and is loved by locals and tourists alike. The offerings, right from their rosti and veal to Schnitzel and gnocchi follows traditional recipes and will remind you of your grandmother’s cooking. In fact, a section of their menu is dedicated to ‘Grandma’s recipes’. The desserts are equally fantastic and you might just crave second helpings. The portions of the meals are ample and all of the ingredients used are fresh and seasonal. There is also an interesting selection of wine up for grabs. Despite its average pricing, the presentation of the food is strongly reminiscent of Michelin Star restaurants and speaks volumes about the thought and love that goes behind its preparation. Just like the eatery, the staff at Della Casa are seasoned individuals and have great recommendations up their sleeve.
