A man stabbed his friend in a dispute that erupted during Diwali celebrations in Nochi Kuppam on Monday.

A 47-year-old history-sheeter involved in two murders and six other cases in Villupuram committed suicide by hanging at his rented house in Old Washermenpet on Friday.
