Lieutenant General NS Raja Subramani has been appointed as the next Chief of Defence Staff, succeeding General Anil Chauhan. He will also serve as secretary of the Department of Military Affairs. Lt Gen Subramani brings extensive experience from various command and staff appointments, including leading formations in diverse operational environments and serving as Vice Chief of the Army Staff.

"He went to a nearby petrol bunk and bought diesel in an empty water container. Veteran Tamil actor Super Good Subramani passed away at 58 after battling cancer. Known for roles in 'Pariyerum Perumal' and 'Jai Bhim,' he began as an assistant director before becoming a respected supporting actor. The sessions court for trial of bomb blast cases on Thursday sentenced a 56-year-old man to life imprisonment for murdering his younger brother at his apartment at SH Colony at Ukkadam on October 25, 2021.
