Matthew Stafford, the Los Angeles Rams quarterback has gone the extra mile and had police and the NFL security team inspect his house as he feels uncomfortable with the way homes of popular NFL and NBA players are being burglarised, as per TMZ Sports. TMZ has also revealed that the authorities and the NFL team have provided some tips for the safety of the $28 million mansion he has in Los Angeles.

Matthew Stafford Is Making Sure His $28 Million Mansion Is Safe

It seems like the Los Angeles Rams quarterback is taking a preventive approach to keep his wife and children safe and to make sure he is not the next target. As per reports, the burglaries are being conducted by an international group of criminals who enter the U.S. after tracking the social media accounts of popular players. Once these international gangs ransack the expensive mansions of players, they leave the country so that they cannot be traced. Earlier, the NFL had issued a warning to all its players to not disclose sensitive details on their social media as criminals are constantly tracking their movements everyday.
Now as per ABC News, the FBI has again issued a warning about “organised crime groups” targetting their houses. As per ABC News, the FBI said, "These homes are targeted for burglary due to the perception they may have high-end goods like designer handbags, jewelry, watches, and cash.”
These incidents have traumatised players and their families and many players have now worked on the security systems of their houses. As per reports, the tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs has spent thousands of dollars in installing a better security system at his $6 million mansion in Kansas City so that such an incident does not happen again. The FBI has also given out some safety guidelines, as per TMZ. This includes installing cameras on every floor and not just the first floor and to make sure that there are no ladders around the million dollar properties.

Travis Kelce And Patrick Mahomes Were The First Victims

The burglaries started with the burglary of the Kansas City Chiefs stars, tight end Travis Kelce and quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Their homes were burglarised just days away from each other with Travis losing valuables worth $100,000 and $20,000. Till date, the authorities have been able to recover only a watch of Travis which could be tracked.
But it was not just Travis and Patrick’s house that was burglarised; Dak Prescott’s car was recently burglarised and his fiancee has reportedly lost a sum of $40,000. The mansion of Joe Burrows of Cincinnati Bengals was also burglarised around a month ago. These burglaries have not just remained limited to NFL, a few NBA players also had their homes burglarised and this has caused stress amongst the players and their teams. This has caused intense stress amongst the players, their loved ones and also the NFL management since this can impact their performance on the field. Also Read: NFL star Travis Kelce’s girlfriend Taylor Swift creates a fashion statement in NYC with a diamond-encrusted watch and an affordable necklace
