Kashvee Gautam of Gujarat is up for a quick chat. She says she tried to keep things tight and attack the stumps and sticks to the basics. Speaking about her battle with Smriti Mandhana, she says, she tried to swing it away from the middle stump line, considering how strong Smriti is on the off side. Says she is getting used to the lights and the lapses in the field will be rectified going ahead and she will work harder on it. Concludes that the pitch is nice and the balls are coming on nicely to the bat the chase shouldn't be tough.

Bengaluru's below-par total of 125 has left the door ajar for Gujarat to seize a crucial victory. Although the target is modest, the pitch is offering assistance to the slower bowlers, which could make life challenging for Gujarat's batting unit if Bengaluru's bowlers can maintain discipline and accuracy. Nevertheless, this presents a golden opportunity for Gujarat to revive their campaign, and with a winnable target in sight, they'll be eager to capitalize and kickstart a turnaround in their fortunes. Raghvi Bist and Kanika Ahuja did provide some stability with a 48-run partnership, which helped weather the storm and lay a platform for the likes of Richa Ghosh, Georgia Wareham, and others to build on. However, the Gujarat bowlers were relentless. Whenever Bengaluru threatened to stitch together a partnership, the Gujarat bowlers struck, which ultimately helped restrict Bengaluru to a low total. Tanuja Kanwer and Deandra Dottin picked up two wickets each, while Ash Gardner and Kashvee Gautam claimed one apiece. 

We've reached the halfway mark in this contest, and Bengaluru have struggled to post a competitive total, managing only 125 runs. After being put in to bat, Bengaluru's innings got off to a slow start, losing their top three inside the Powerplay. They could only muster 26 runs in the first six overs, leaving the others with a mountain to climb.
