Chennai set 189-run target for Rajasthan
Young left-arm pacer Chetan Sakariya returned figures of 3 for 36 that also included the wicket of veteran MS Dhoni but Chennai Super Kings still managed 188 for 9 against Rajasthan Royals in Mumbai. Put into bat, Chennai lost Ruturaj Gaikwad (10) early as his poor run in the tournament continued. But Faf du Plessis scored a fluent 33 off 17 that kept the run rate good in the Powerplay. Moeen Ali also got a good start then then fell for 26. It was then the 26-ball 45 partnership between Suresh Raina (18) and Ambati Rayudu (27) that significantly improved the scoring rate for Chennai in the middle overs. Even though the Men in Yellow lost wickets at regular intervals they kept the scoreboard moving thick and fast. Towards the end, Sam Curran (13 off 6) and Dwayne Bravo (20* off 8) took Chennai close to the 190-run mark. For Rajasthan, Chris Morris too got a couple of wickets while Mustafizur Rahman and Rahul Tewatia got a wicket apiece.
