India innings in a nutshell!
Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya hit fifties but India lacked a big individual score as they got to 329 all out in the ODI series decider against England in Pune on Sunday. Skipper Virat Kohli for the 10th time (out of 12 occasions) lost the toss this tour as England once again invited the hosts to bat first. Shikhar Dhawan (67) and Rohit Sharma (37) got India off to a terrific start, putting up a century stand but then Adil Rashid struck twice in successive overs to remove both the openers. Moeen Ali then got rid of Kohli (7) with a ripper as India lost three batsmen in no time. KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant added 36 for the fourth wicket but Liam Livingstone, out of no where dismissed Rahul (7) to peg India back further. It was the counterattacking from Pant and Hardik Pandya that helped India regain the momentum. The 99-run stand for the fifth wicket saw Pant (78) and Hardik (64) going all guns blazing against the England spinners. But then both departed in quick succession as momentum shifted back in England's favour. Shardul Thakur hit a 21-ball 30 to take India across the 300-run mark but regular wickets in the latter stages of the match restricted India from getting past the 350 mark. For England, Mark Wood claimed three wicket while Rashid bagged a couple of them. Sam Curran, Reece Topley, Ben Stokes, Moeen and Livingstone got a wicket apiece.
