Once again the Indian team was brilliant on the field. Their bowlers were patient throughout and were rewarded with wickets. Shardul Thakur after bowling an ordinary first over bounced back nicely and finished with a 4-wicket haul. The target is pretty straightforward and considering India's batting form, this should be chased down with ease. Yet another disappointing batting show by the Proteas! They adopted a cautious approach up front but still lost both the openers inside the Powerplay. Then, the pair of AB de Villiers and Khaya Zondo batted with fluency and constructed a 62-run partnership in quick time. But once the former departed, it all went pear-shaped for the hosts. Khaya Zondo went into a shell and the batsmen coming in were not able to rotate the strike enough. Pressure mounted and it resulted in more wickets. In fact, they lost their last 8 wickets for just 99 runs.
