Delhi election results 2020 live: Kejriwal likely to take oath on Feb 16

"I concede my defeat and express gratitude towards the voters and party workers in Vikas Puri. I hope the constituency witnesses all-round development. My fight for the development of Vikas Puri and Uttam Nagar will continue," the former MLA tweeted.

"We have done a lot of hard work ... let's see, I think we should get a good number of seats in this election. All our contestants have worked hard and I am really proud of them," Subhash Chopra told ANI.

The EVMs had been kept under tight security in the strongroom at Atal Adarsh Bengali Balika Vidyalaya in Gole Market until the counting began today. Kejriwal, sitting legislature from New Delhi, pipped three-time chief minister Sheila Dikshit in the 2013 assembly elections. Since then the fight for the constituency has been a keenly-watched contest.

Scores of party workers were seen standing outside the party headquarters eagerly waiting for the final results.

Parvez Hashmi is trailing from Okhla. Arvinder Singh Lovely and Chaudhry Mateen Ahmed are also trailing from their Gandhinagar and Seelampur seats respectively. However, Haroon Yusuf is leading from the Ballimaran seat.

Kejriwal's party is leading in 53 of the total 70 seats and the BJP is ahead in 16. The Congress is ahead in 1 constituency

Bharti is ahead of former councilor Shailendra Singh Moti of the BJP and Congress candidate Neetu Verma, a former DUSU president
