Early asset declarations for the April 9 Assembly elections show a sharp contrast, from multi-crore fortunes to comparatively modest holdings, offering a revealing snapshot of wealth and property in Kerala politics.

BJP's Rajeev Chandrasekhar leads the list by a staggering margin with total declared assets of Rs 93.88 crore. The bulk of his wealth , Rs 78.81 crore , is in movable assets, with immovable property at Rs 15 crore. His spouse has declared movable assets of Rs 18.10 crore, with no immovable property.

IUML leader PK Kunhalikutty is a distant second with total declared assets of Rs 3.04 crore. His immovable property alone accounts for Rs 2.36 crore, with movable assets at Rs 67.99 lakh. His spouse's combined wealth adds another Rs 4.20 crore to the family picture.

Senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala has total assets of Rs 2.65 crore — Rs 90.93 lakh movable and Rs 1.74 crore immovable. Notably, his spouse's declared wealth of Rs 5.29 crore is nearly double his own.

Minister R Bindu declares total assets of Rs 2.14 crore, split almost evenly between movable (Rs 1.03 crore) and immovable (Rs 1.11 crore) property. Her spouse has declared no immovable assets, with a total of just Rs 3.20 lakh.

KC(M) chief Jose K Mani declares Rs 2.09 crore in total assets — Rs 85.24 lakh movable and Rs 1.23 crore immovable. His spouse's wealth tells a different story entirely, with declared assets of Rs 6.37 crore.

Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan also declares total assets of Rs 1.01 crore, comprising Rs 45.35 lakh movable and Rs 56 lakh immovable. His spouse's declared wealth is Rs 96.58 lakh — nearly matching his own total.

K Rajan declares total assets of Rs 80.42 lakh, with immovable property at Rs 79.66 lakh making up almost the entirety of his wealth. His movable assets are a mere Rs 76,287 — the lowest movable figure in this group.

Sunny Joseph of Congress declares movable assets of Rs 9.84 lakh and immovable property of Rs 70 lakh, though the latter is held as an undivided half right, making a clean total figure unavailable. His spouse mirrors the immovable figure at Rs 70 lakh.
