Story:Bad Boy Karthik follows Karthik (Naga Shaurya), a rebellious young man who is extremely close to his sister Kasturi (Sridevi Vijayakumar), a lawyer in Vizag. When she takes on powerful men exploiting farmers, Karthik steps in to protect her, even if it means taking the law into his own hands.Review:Set in Visakhapatnam, the film mixes action, emotion and a social issue, but ends up feeling very familiar. The story follows a well-worn path, with a righteous sister fighting injustice and a rowdy brother backing her up. While the sibling bond is strong on paper, the writing doesn’t explore it in a fresh or engaging way.Naga Shaurya does a sincere job, especially in showing Karthik’s softer side with his sister and his aggressive side with others. However, the character itself doesn’t grow much. Sridevi Vijayakumar suits the role of the determined lawyer, but her arc feels predictable. The supporting cast, including Mime Gopi and Samuthirakani, try their best, though the script doesn’t give them enough depth. The film also struggles with its lighter moments. The romance track is dull and barely adds anything to the story. Comedy scenes rely on loud, over-the-top performances, with only a few moments that actually work. There are a handful of visually appealing scenes, especially during the Kadiri Jaathara, which stand out. But many sequences feel exaggerated and unrealistic. Some plot turns also feel forced, making it harder to stay invested. In the end, Bad Boy Karthik feels like something you’ve seen many times before. Despite a few decent moments and committed performances, the weak writing and predictable treatment make it a film that struggles to leave an impact.
