According to Moneycontrol, Keerthiswaran spoke about the possible sequel during a recent public event. He said he had pitched an idea to Pradeep Ranganathan for 'Dude 2'. The film is still in its early stages, but the director hinted that the new story would retain the tone that helped the first film connect with audiences.

What 'Dude' was about
'Dude' starred Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role. The film follows cousins Agan and Kural as they start an event management business together. Romance, family pressure, and personal confusion soon complicate their plans.
The story took a sharp turn when an accidental pregnancy disturbed their carefully planned future. The film blended comedy, emotion, and relationship drama, helping it appeal to young audiences.
Mamitha Baiju played the female lead in 'Dude'. The cast also included R. Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon, Rohini, and others in supporting roles.
Keerthiswaran also spoke about another script that he is working on. He described it as a commercial entertainer with strong emotional elements and said it was planned with a big star in mind.
The director did not name the actor, but industry buzz has linked Silambarasan TR to the project. The makers have not confirmed the collaboration yet, so fans are waiting for an official update on both films.
