Chrissy Teigen remembers father Ron Teigen Sr. after his death: ‘Woke up with a daddy’

Chrissy Teigen is mourning the death of her father, Ron Teigen Sr. , and shared the news in an emotional Instagram post. The model, cookbook author, and television personality wrote about the sudden loss, the ordinary way the day began, and the shock that followed. Teigen also shared memories of her father, including his love for family, music, animals, wood carving, and the small moments that now mean even more to her.According to People, Teigen announced her father’s death on Instagram and reflected on how quickly her day changed. “Yesterday I woke up with a daddy and went to bed without one,” she wrote.Teigen said the day started like any other. She described taking a quick shower, picking up stuffing from dog toys, answering emails, spending time with friends, and getting dressed for a birthday event. Then the news came.“And then my dad just like...f---ing died,” she wrote in the post.The 40-year-old said she had often thought about losing her father because he had always been an “old dad.” Still, the moment hit her hard. “I’ve thought about this phone call for years. I’ll be ready,” she wrote while reflecting on the grief she felt after his death.Teigen also shared a video of Ron at a dinner table joking about salmon. She later explained that the clip showed him talking about raising her in the Pacific Northwest. “He really loved it but boy did he hate salmon,” she wrote.The post also looked back at a letter Teigen had written to her father a few months earlier.
