Akshay Kumar has reportedly joined Golmaal 5 in a special appearance. Despite a relatively short shooting schedule, the actor is said to be commanding a substantial fee. According to IANS, Akshay is being paid between Rs. 35 crore and Rs. 40 crore for approximately 18 to 22 days of work. Rohit Shetty announced 'Golmaal 5' in March while celebrating his 52nd birthday. On the same occasion, reports surfaced that Akshay Kumar would be a surprise addition to the ensemble cast. Behind-the-scenes footage shared by Rohit Shetty revealed Akshay sporting a bald look.
The unusual appearance immediately sparked speculation about his character.Later, Ajay Devgn confirmed that a fresh shooting schedule had commenced. He also posted a fun video from Ooty featuring Sharman Joshi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu, Arshad Warsi, and Tusshar Kapoor. The series began with Golmaal: Fun Unlimited. The original film featured Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, and Sharman Joshi, along with Rimi Sen and Paresh Rawal. Over the years, the Golmaal franchise has become one of Bollywood’s most successful comedy series.

'Welcome To The Jungle' up next

Alongside 'Golmaal 5', Akshay Kumar is preparing for the release of Welcome to the Jungle. The actor recently shared the teaser and confirmed that the film will release in cinemas on June 26, 2026.
