RAIPUR: The
Congress is expected to release its list of candidates in Chhattisgarh for Lok Sabha elections 2019 on Sunday, party's state in-charge PL Punia said on Friday.
Punia while interacting with the journalists said tickets will be given to potential candidates who can win election and any forceful recommendations will not be entertained.
“In general elections, Congress will to win 11 out of 11 seats in Chhattisgarh. We can repeat the formula of offering tickets to new faces. In assembly elections, we did social engineering and brought representatives from all communities including Nishad, Lodhi, Yadav and others. Hence, out of 41 new new faces, 35 emerged victorious,” Punia said.
“Recently, I floated a message in the Shakti App and requested people to send names of their representatives from their Lok Sabha constituency. However, the final decision will be taken by the party,” he said.
