CHANDIGARH: Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Chandigarh and former Union minister Pawan Kumar Bansal has declared that he will file his nomination papers on April 26. He also announced that he will release his poll manifesto soon.
Bansal addressed a gathering at Congress Bhawan in Sector 35 on Monday, where BJP leader and two-time former deputy mayor Vijay Singh Rana of Burail village, rejoined Congress. Rana was formally inducted into the party fold by Bansal and state Congress president Pardeep Chhabra. Bansal said Viay Singh Rana's mother Kashmiri Devi had also been senior deputy mayor of the Chandigarh municipal corporation.
On this occasion, Vijay Singh Rana pledged that he will ensure 80% of the voting in Burail is in Bansal's favour.
At the same time, he assured that when Bansal becomes Union minister again, he will ensure all-round development of Burail.
