APCPDCL makes agreement with EESL
Visakhapatnam: The Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Company Limited has entered into an agreement with Energy Efficiency Services Limited. The key objective of the agreement is to make energy-efficient appliances more accessible and affordable through APCPDCL’s extensive consumer network and digital outreach systems. EESL operates its e-commerce platform, EESLmart.in, which promotes energy-efficient appliances such as LED bulbs, induction cooktops, BLDC fans, and energy-efficient air conditioners. The organisation has already partnered with more than 50 major Discoms across the country to expand the reach of energy-efficient products.
The latest partnership combines APCPDCL’s extensive consumer outreach across urban, semi-urban and rural regions with EESL’s expertise in bulk procurement and digital commerce. Under the agreement, APCPDCL will promote EESL’s quality-assured and warranty-backed star-rated products through multiple official channels, including website integration, QR codes, electricity bill messaging, SMS campaigns, WhatsApp outreach and awareness drives at customer service centres. These promotional initiatives will direct consumers to EESL’s online portal for seamless purchase and doorstep delivery of energy-efficient appliances.
The collaboration is expected to deliver substantial benefits to consumers by reducing household electricity consumption by nearly 25 to 35 percent. This will thereby lower electricity bills while also supporting the State and Central Governments’ clean energy and energy efficiency goals.
EESL will manage end-to-end backend operations including e-commerce platform management, inventory handling, order processing, payment gateway integration, product supply, logistics and after-sales service support. The agreement is initially valid for three years with provision for further extension through mutual consent.
The agreement was signed on behalf of EESL by Animesh Mishra and on behalf of APCPDCL by chief general manager P. Subramanyam in the presence of CMD P Pulla Reddy.
Akhilesh Kumar Dixit, CEO, EESL has congratulated Pulla Reddy for securing ‘A’ grade in Centre’s CSRD report for greater consumer services. Reddy said that, under the leadership and guidance of chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, APCPDCL is committed to providing world-class power supply standards while aggressively promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives for the benefit of consumers across Andhra Pradesh.
