Vadodara: A man was beaten up near Kamlanagar in the Ajwa Road area, on suspicion of him stalking a schoolgirl. It later emerged that his son studies at the same school.
The incident occurred on Saturday morning, when the girl told her father about the man. He was seen near the school and was assaulted there before being allowed to leave.

He then went home but the girl's relatives found his address and reached his residence. They assaulted him again, dragged him out and beating him on the road in Kamlanagar. The man began bleeding heavily from his nose and mouth.
Police later arrived at the spot. A video of the assault was circulated on social media. The man repeatedly denied stalking the girl during the assault and while speaking to the media later.
Bapod police inspector M K Gurjar said the incident stemmed from a misunderstanding. He said that the man's son studied at the same school and he had gone there to pick him up. Gurjar added that both sides gave it in writing to police that the matter arose from a misunderstanding.
