Cop killed in road accident in Dahod

Vadodara: A police constable was killed in a road accident in Dahod district on Saturday while travelling from Fatepura to Sukhsar, police said.The constable, identified as Jitendra Machhar, allegedly lost control of his car near Kankasiya village. The vehicle veered off the road, fell into a stormwater drain and rammed into a tree. Locals forced open the car door to pull him out.Sources said the accident is believed to have occurred while Machhar was negotiating a turn on the Fatepura–Sukhsar road. The front portion of the car was badly damaged in the impact.He was rushed to the Fatepura govt hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
