Karur: Residents of the Krishnarayapuram assembly constituency in Karur district will soon be able to register their grievances with their MLA by simply scanning a QR code.TVK MLA M Sathya said QR code would be displayed at key locations such as the panchayat office across the constituency to make grievance redressal more accessible to the public. “People can scan the QR codes and submit their complaints. The information will be automatically forwarded to my official email. We will visit the concerned locations and take steps to resolve the issues,” she told TOI.The lone TVK MLA from the district said complaint boxes would be set up in remote locations in the constituency as well. “Largely people today have smart phones and it helps to resolve the grievances quickly. However, I understand that my constituency has many remote villages, so complaint boxes will also be set up,” she added.Residents can visit the existing MLA office at Kakkavadi to air their grievances, she said. The govt is taking steps to establish a MLA office at Lingathur near Uppidamangalam and another office at Taragampatti to improve access for residents, she added.
