Kullu: Reacting to the statement made by leader of opposition
Jai Ram Thakur over Himachal’s share in Chandigarh, chief minister
Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said on Friday that Thakur should look into the issues that concern the welfare of the state in broader perspective across all party lines rather than keeping such a narrow ideology. While interacting with the media in Nadaun, Sukhu asked the BJP leaders to expedite the matter of Himachal Pradesh's share in Chandigarh with the Union Government.
Thakur on Thursday had reiterated that like
Punjab and Haryana, Himachal too has a share in the Union Territory of Chandigarh.
Sukhu also said that Haryana was demanding more water from Kishau and
Renuka Ji dam from Himachal Pradesh and that the deliberations were being held on the issue to solve it amicably.
The chief minister also listened to the grievances of the people at Nadaun. Later, the chief minister was accorded a warm reception by the people en-route Chintpurni at Rakkar in Jaswan Pragpur assembly constituency of Kangra district. Congress leader Surender Mankotia and other senior members of the party were also present on the occasion.
