Pune: The court of Special Judge SR Salunkhe on Wednesday continued recording evidence in the Nasrapur rape and murder trial and examined four prosecution witnesses. Special public prosecutor Ajay Misar appeared for the prosecution, while accused Bhimrao Kamble (65), who is in judicial custody, was produced through video conferencing. During the proceedings, the court recorded the depositions of prosecution witnesses who supported the last seen theory.The prosecution also placed several documents and records on exhibit, including a seizure form, correspondence from the Panchayat Samiti at Bhor, crime details records, a map sketch, and shop licence documents.The prosecution further produced sealed articles connected with the case and brought related property documents on record. A statement of a witness recorded under Section 183 of the BNSS was also exhibited. The court allowed an application related to alteration of charges and adjourned the matter for further prosecution evidence. The trial remains part-heard. SPP Ajay Misar told TOI, “Four material witnesses were examined today. The argument on additional of BNS section for destroying the evidence was completed and we are expecting an order on the same on Thursday.”
