Man stabs woman in neck after fallout

Pune: A man from Hingoli, working in a mall on Pune-Nagar Road, barged into the room of a 22-year-old woman in Chandannagar around 10.30pm on Wednesday and stabbed her in the neck. The woman suffered serious injuries in the attack. The Chandannagar police are searching for the assailant.Senior inspector Nilesh Badakh of the Chandannagar police said, "We have registered a case of attempt to murder against the man. The injured woman's brother lodged a complaint with us."The woman was in love with the accused and worked together. "She started ignoring him since past few months which enraged him," he said. TNN
