FIR against Uran man for forging land documents

NAVI MUMBAI: A property investor from Pune, Digambar Patil, has lodged a complaint against his office assistant, Samadhan Thakur, on Sunday. Patil alleged that Thakur forged a power of attorney in order to usurp his land in Uran. An FIR has been registered against Thakur, a resident of Dhutum village in Uran taluka.
Assistant inspector Amol Deshmukh said, “The complainant owns a two-acre plot of land in Uran.Thakur allegedly misused his employer, Patil’s photograph, PAN card and even forged his signature. He submitted the documents at the assistant sub-registrar office in Panvel to obtain a power of attorney to sell off Patil’s land. Thakur also allegedlyproduced another person before the registrar as the land owner.” Patil came to know about the ‘forgery’ on Sunday and lodged the complaint. Thakur is yet to be arrested.
