Pimplaner police arrest man for murder after scuffle in Dhule village
Nashik: The police arrested a 22-year-old in connection with the murder of a man from the same tribal village in Dhule district, under the Pimpalner police station, on Tuesday night.The deceased has been identified as Dattu Gavli of Hanumant Pada, Rainpada in Sakri taluka of Dhule district. The police said the accused, Kisan Sable, was speaking to a 20-year-old woman at her grocery shop in the village around 9.30pm, when the woman's uncle, Gavli, passed near the shop. Gavli spotted Sable talking to his niece and told him he had better leave the shop and not be seen around when he (Gavli) returned. After 15 minutes, Gavli returned near the shop and found Sable still there. A scuffle soon broke out, and in the fight, both fell down with Sable atop Gavli.Police said Gavli suffered internal head injuries and died. He was taken to a primary health centre."After Gavli was declared dead around 4am, we received the information about the incident. We then visited the spot. By that time, Sable had gone to some other village in the area. However, we tracked him down and arrested him by Thursday afternoon," said assistnt inspector Kiran Barge, of the Pimpalner police station.
The Pimpalner police registered a case under section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).The police said the woman at the shop was a nursing student studying in Kalwan and had come home on leave. She was minding her parents' grocery shop. "Sable is pursuing post-graduation education in Nandurbar and had also come to the village recently on leave," said assistant inspector Barge, adding that the case is being investigated under the guidance of SP Shrikant Dhivare.
