33-yr-old man kills mom with mango cutter in Ahilyanagar

Nashik: Loud piercing cries rent the air when Suhas Gavare fatally struck his mother with a mango cutter around 2pm on Tuesday afternoon causing neighbours to gather outside their rented room in Savedi in Ahilyanagar district. The door, they found was locked from within and the Tofkhana police was immediately called in.When police rushed to the residence of the widowed 60-year-old Baby Gavare and her unmarried son Suhas (33) and broke open the door they found the bludgeoned body of a lifeless Baby lying inside. Suhas was detained from the spot.PI Jagdish Bhambal told TOI, "On reaching the spot, police personnel could see Suhas busy playing with a tin box inside the house and was least affected by the crime he had just committed."On the complaint of Baby's married daughter the Tofkhana police registered a case of murder against Suhas.Baby used to take up household work in other people's houses to earn a living, while Suhas was unemployed."Suhas has not told us anything so far about what made him kill his mother. Even his complainant sister told police that he keeps to himself and does not speak to anyone. We are investigating the case," said Bhambal.
