Kozhikode: Ashwathi V Nair, the daughter of late writer M T Vasudevan Nair, has filed a defamation case against the authors and publisher of the book ‘Empty Space: Bashpeekrithayude Aaram Viral', alleging that certain remarks in the book are defamatory and aimed to tarnish the reputation of her father
Ashwathi filed defamation case against authors of the book — Deedi Damodaran and Echmu Kutty — and book publisher A V Sreekumar. The case was filed in the Kozhikode judicial first class magistrate court IV. The court will consider the case on March 28.
The case has been filed invoking sections 356 (3) and (4) of the BNS.
Ashwathi had earlier said that greater part of the matters in this book, purportedly about the life of MT's first wife Pramila Nair, does not conform to facts and are blatant untruths meant to defame her father.
