Injured worker dies, fire toll rises to 3
Kolkata: Death toll in Tiljala leather factory fire has risen to three after 37-year-old Mohd Ibrar, also known as Yusuf, succumbed to his injuries late on Saturday night. He had been undergoing treatment at Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital. With severe burns, his condition was stated to be critical after he was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday, when the fire broke out at the unit operating from a G+4 building on G J Khan Road.Ibrar, a resident of Masjid Bari Lane in Tiljala, used to live about 500 metres away from the factory where he had been working for last few years. "A worker rushed to our house and informed us about the fire. He told us to come to the hospital where he was admitted," said a kin of the victim.
