Sangli police recover missing man’s body from well after minors confess to murder

Kolhapur: The Sangli police on Thursday recovered the body of a 29-year-old man who had been missing since Feb 26, from a well.The missing man was identified as Rohit Mashale. Police said he was found with his hands and legs tied and put inside a drum. Divers were deployed to extract the body.Earlier, Sangli police questioned two minors. "The minors have confessed that they murdered Mashale and disposed off his body by putting in a drum in a well in the Vitthalnagar area. We are going to register a murder case against the two. The motive will be clear upon further questioning," said inspector Sudhir Bhalerao, of Vishrambaug police station.
