Sexual abuse bid: 46-yr-old man arrested

Kochi: Kannamaly police have arrested a 46-year-old man for allegedly attempting to sexually abuse a 14-year-old girl. The arrested is Justin of Kannamaly. Police said the girl had told school authorities during a counselling session that the accused had forcibly grabbed her. Later, a statement of the girl was recorded as per the directive of Mattancherry assistant commissioner K R Manoj and a case was registered.
Two held on theft charges:
Perumbavoor police on Friday arrested two people on charges of theft . The arrested have been identified as Mursaleem (32) of Nagaon in Assam and Lohil Mandal (20) of Murshidabad in West Bengal.
The accused had allegedly stolen a welding equipment and copper cables worth Rs 65,000 from a workshop at Allapra in Kunnathunad.
