JAIPUR: North Western Railways (NWR) has topped in the country in financial year 2016-17 in originating gross earnings (OGE).
The zone has got Rs 5,323 crore of OGE, which is 15.5 percent more compared to Rs 4,607 crore registered in 2015-16.
Tarun Jain, chief public relations officer, NWR, on Wednesday said that from January 2017 to March 2017, a rise of 35 percent was witnessed in freight loading, 100 percent in container loading, 200 percent in cement loading, 30 percent in limestone loading, 6 percent in passenger load.
