Two brothers among three killed in accident in Dewas
Indore: Two brothers were among three youths killed in an accident on Dewas-Bhopal highway near Newari Phata in the early hours of Sunday. One person was also critically injured in the accident.The victims were returning from Sonkatch after purchasing supplies for a family ritual when their car was allegedly hit from behind by an unidentified vehicle. Due to the impact, the vehicle veered off the road and slammed into a tree, getting completely mangled.The accident proved fatal for Mohit Nagar, 22, a resident of Gunai Bhaurasa, and his cousins Shubham Nagar, 24, and Pradeep Nagar, 20, both from Dudhlai in Sonkatch. All three died on the spot.Their relative, Sachin, a resident of Sulpakheda in Barotha who was travelling with them, sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the district hospital. He was given primary treatment and later referred to a private hospital as his condition remained serious.A relative of the victims, Vikas Dhakad, said that the group had gone to Sonkatch to arrange items for their grandfather's death ritual scheduled for Sunday. They were on their way back to their village when the accident occurred. Mohit was driving the car.SP Puneet Gehlot said that they have registered a case and initiated a search to trace the driver.
