Indore: Riding on strong demand from MSMEs and agro-based industries, Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) plans to begin allotment of industrial plots at Jaggakhedi Phase 2 in Mandsaur from April through an e-bidding process.
Phase 2 has 188 industrial plots of different sizes, designed to accommodate small, medium and large enterprises, suiting different investment capacities, officials said.

Officials said enquiries increased from food processing units, spice and agro-based industries, plastic and packaging manufacturers, engineering workshops and small textile units keen to set up operations in the district. Phase 1 of Jaggakhedi is fully occupied and Phase 2 was developed in 4 parts, with booking initially opening for Part A comprising 60 plots. The indicative rate for plots is around Rs 170 per sq ft.
MPIDC executive director Rajesh Rathore said the new phase is aimed at accelerating industrialisation in the district. "Jaggakhedi Phase 2 has been developed keeping in mind demand from MSMEs and agro-based industries. The e-bidding process will ensure equal opportunity for all investors. With Phase 1 fully occupied, we are confident that Phase 2 will attract strong response," he said.
Under the e-bidding norms, investors will have to deposit 25 per cent of the total premium amount in advance to ensure participation and plots will be allotted to the highest bidders on a 99-year lease strictly for industrial use, Rathore said.
Officials said that from August, piped water supply will be extended to each industrial plot, while power connectivity through an 11 KVA sub-station line is being readied. They said wide internal roads, drainage and sewerage systems are also being developed to support long-term industrial operations.
